MY STORY

I grew up inspired by the formations and colors that have evolved through our earth. My Art Journey officially began in 2014 when my husband surprised me with a class from a local mixed media artist whose art I admired. I loved working with mixed media forms but with limited time and space, my passion was put aside. In 2023, I took a class in fluid art from a group of artists visiting Santa Fe, and this reinvigorated my passion for creating beautiful abstract pieces. In 2024, my husband encouraged me to start sharing my work with everyone and thus began the start of Purple Desert Creations, inspired by my mother’s favorite color and the beautiful sunsets of the southwest. I incorporate colors and formations inspired by the beautiful New Mexico landscapes to create joyful pieces to cherish in any home. I work with acrylic, mixed media and resin to create abstract paintings as well as painted tiles using a unique fluid art technique. My painted tiles are incorporated into wooden boxes, frames and sold as coasters to enjoy in any home. My creations are not just decorative pieces; they are a reflection of my love and the happiness that creating each piece brings
